Thank you for visiting the Emma Beck family and Friends fundraising page.
Our names are Emma, Reuben and Jacob Beck and you must be wondering why we are writing to you? In the next few minutes of your time this will become clear and I trust that these minutes are worthwhile.
The three of us have been deaf since birth and depend on the work of two charities in order to live our everyday lives, in our family home, our school, and in the community we live. We would like to give back what these charities have done for us and allow other deaf children and adults and their families to be given the same opportunities of living a normal live and to allow the charities to further their work to ensure that this is possible.
Both charities are very close to our heart and to our families and friends around us, we all would like to help the charities by doing this fund raising appeal on their behalf. The two charities rely on the generous giving of the general public and companies and receive no government funding.
DELTA - Deaf Education Through Listening and TAlking
HDFDP - Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
For this appeal my family and our growing team of supporters of all ages are going to walk upMountSnowdon and back from our base. There are now well over 30 adults and children of all ages doing this walk. For the younger and older walkers they are going to need to use the train too. We will be gathering from all over the country to a cottage that has been let to us at half price, each walker will be paying a registration fee of £65 to cover their accommodation, food & drink, and other associated costs so that all monies that they raise goes directly towards the charities.
