My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Valleys Kids is a fantastic youth and community charity in South Wales. They are running an inspiring arts programme in partnership with a South African arts group. Mzansi Cymru will link the people and communities of the South Wales Valleys and the township of Langa in Cape Town, South Africa, culminating in a large scale theatre performance as part of Wales' Cultural Olympiad happening alongside the London Olympics in 2012.
The performance will take place in Wales in the summer and in Cape Town in the Autumn, providing a unique opportunity for the two communities to come together.
I just love this project - it is a fabulous example of supporting young people from deprived communities in Wales and South Africa to be able to realise opportunities that they didn’t even know they were able to dream!

Valleys Kids is a charity based in S Wales where 1 in 4 children are living in Poverty! Our work is about changing lives for the better. These Valleys now rank in some of the most deprived areas of Europe. We work with local people to improve the lives of children and families in these communities.
