Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From September 9th until October 28th, as many of us as we can muster will be running, cycling and walking 5k a day to help speed treatment for Rett Syndrome.
5K a day may not sound like much but this challenge runs for FIFTY consecutive days.
A friend of mine, Andy Stevenson, has a daughter Beth who suffers from Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a complex neuorological disorder that affects mainly girls, it leaves sufferers with multilple disabilities and reliant on others for all their needs. Rett Syndrome was reversed in the lab in 2007 so there is real hope for Beth and all the other girls who suffer with Rett. Andy is a founding trustee of RSRT UK, who are dedicated to raising money for treatments and a cure. In the first 12 months 98.2p from every pound raised has gone directly to research programmes.
