I have been running/jogging/plodding for about 18 months and therefore am puting all my clocked up mileage into doing the half marathon. It is something I have always wanted to do and is on my list of things to do before I turn 40! Lets hope I complete it before dark!

I am aiming to raise funds for The Sara Lee Trust. It is a very special and local charity that receives no statutory funding and relies solely on fundraising and voluntary donations. The service is not only for patients but extends to carers and families.

Patient quote:- 'I think it may be too easy for those not living with cancer to seriously undervalue the benefits derived by those of us on the receiving end of all the good work done by the Sara Lee Trust.'

Well today I have completed my first ever half marathon with a time of 2hours 30minutes, and I can honestly say I have really enjoyed the experience. The weather was kind for running and the support all around the course was amazing. Thank you all very much for your support, messages and donations.
