Story

Thank you so much every one for all the love and support you have all been given through these pages and by your words of encouragement.I am blown away with the generosity of everyone. Also its great to have so much support from many firms Daniel had contact with through his work,we knew he was loved and popular and this has confirmed it.Thanks you guys-it made all the blisters worth it. WE DID IT!! Eleanor(Superwoman and my training partner), Rosie, Kirtan, Hazel, Chris, Andy and I did all 39, and Sally, Kerry, Ian, George, Jake and Ben did 20!! Thank you all so much for your support. It was blisters and pain at the end but people were so determined to finish they kept managing to put one foot in front of the other some how. Jane, Robin, Max and Kiki met us half way with support and plasters and all walked a section. Keith and Keith Jnr brought support, champagne and cakes at the end, and also walked 12 miles. Roland - what a star! everyones support and driver. Constantly at hand going back and forth fetching and carrying - we couldn't have done it without him! Buttons did 30 miles and is now sleeping it off with a bone! Mum and Pops Molly and Lily met us at the finish. Nothing replaces Daniel but we did the walk in his name and for a good cause and WE HAD FUN!!!!!! The Ffabric girls from the Urdd centre craft cafe have done a brilliant coffee morning with all profits to WalkDaniel39-a big thank you to Ruth and Joe for arranging it. Our total for MacMillan is going up and up-its such a worthwhile cause.

Daniel was the best brother anyone could wish for to his three sisters. A great uncle, son and husband. He was a true gentle giant (6' 8'') of fun and laughter. He suffered so much without complaint and I wanted to do something to remember him and, at the same time, have fun. Daniel was only 39 so a group of us (spurred on by Eleanor!) are walking 39 miles! IN ONE DAY! on July 16th.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you for everyones support and kindness. We have so much fun training. Eleanor has been stuck in the mud and had to walk home barefoot! We've been lost, hot, cold, caught in barbed wire, and stopped by bulls! Sally's 'short' walks are miles! and a slight incline is vertical! Eleanor is always raring to go at 6am, and her batteries never run out! Rosie walks in between exams, work and dancing. Daisy, Alfie, Molly and Lily (kids) have walked 10 miles! Thank you Mum, Pops and Roland for your endless support! Lotsaluv Becky xxx
