Story

I originally entered the 2020 London Marathon as part of my 40 before 40 bucket list.  My place has now been moved 4 times due to COVID and then injury.  This is my last chance to complete the marathon so even if I crawl over that finish line I will complete it!

I decided to raise funds for PSPA for a number of reasons -

They are a very small, little known charity supporting neurodegenerative conditions PSP and CBD.  Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain.  Corticobasal Degeneration is a degenerative brain disease.

PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). We provide information and support for people affected by PSP & CBD whilst funding research into the causes, treatment, and eventually a cure. Together we can stop PSP & CBD in their tracks.

I unfortunately know about this charity as my Uncle (who was pretty much a father to me most of my life) was diagnosed in 2019 and died from it in the summer of 2022 so raising funds to research these conditions means even more to me so your support, no matter how small, really will make a difference.
