Brighton Marathon 2010 · 18 April 2010 ·

Afasic is the UK charity representing children and young people with speech, language and communication disabilities, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. Afasic helps them get the support they need to reach their potential and improve their life chances.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On the 18th of April I will be running (and sometimes walking) in the very first Brighton marathon. I'm raising money for Afasic. It's a charity that was established to help the over 1 million children and young adults across the UK that are affected by the hidden disability of speech, language and communication impairments. If you would like to find out more about Afasic, you can go to: www.afasic.org.uk

So please sponsor me now! Any amount is welcome to support a worthy cause and to keep me going on the day!

Many thanks for your support :)

Update: Ok, so I have injured my knee but I am still determined to run as much of the marathon as I can in 3 1/2 weeks time. I have had to take a 2 week break from training which has set me back, but I will do my best to run as much of the marathon as I can before my body gives up on me! If I can cross the finish line in any time I will be very happy.
