Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!

So this summer I will be heading to Morocco to climb North Africa's highest peak, Mount Toubkal, to raise funds for Hope for a Child. Hope for a Child is a fantastic charity that is dedicated to enabling families and their children rise from poverty in Uganda. I have supported Hope for a Child fundraising events a number of times in the past and by getting involved with this trek I hope to raise as much money as possible to enable them to continue the great work they do.

Hope for a Child empowers parents in Uganda to earn money by developing a business and therefore create a sustainable family income. Every £300 raised trains a group of 23 - 30 adults within the community to create their own financial security. An average of 200 children per group are impacted for good!!

So what are you sponsoring me to do to raise money for this great charity? ...in June 2012 myself and 10 others will be trekking through the magnificent Atlas Mountain range in Morocco in order to summit its highest peak - Mount Toubkal. At 4,167m it is the highest point in North Africa. I'm not exactly one who casually climbs mountains often, so this will definitely be a challenge...but one I am so excited to take on!

I can't stress enough how awesome this charity is and how worthwhile it is to support it. Over the next 10 years Hope for a Child plans to enable basic financial services for 1 million of the poorest people in Africa. Please therefore support me in my efforts (...climbing a mountain...!!) to raise key funds for Hope for a Child projects in Uganda.
