For those that don’t know, my husband Martin was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on the 11th November and died 10 days later on 21st November 2008. That was 10 years ago. The success rate for someone diagnosed with this awful disease has not improved.  So I would like to do something towards helping others by asking you to sponsor me for my attempt to climb Kilimanjaro.  I have paid for the entire trip myself - so any money that you sponsor will go directly to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

I say 'attempt' to climb, because I will do my very best.  I'm a stubborn and determined individual but I will not be able to counteract the issues with acclimitisation.  Apparently Victoria Pendleton couldn't complete the climb.  I hope I can!

So far I have managed to climb up Box Hill.... I will probably need to improve my training.
