Story
After a year and a half of trying to sell my London flat to officially move to Cornwall I have finally succeeded and am now the proud owner of an ever so slightly derelict and mouldy house in Falmouth!
However 9 to 16 June is Big ShelterBox week and I reflected on the fact that although I have a lovely house to live in (albeit with a little bit of 'updating' needed) there people all over the world who simply have nothing, having been made homeless by disaster. So in consideration of all those families around the world who have so little, and critically, anticipating the needs of those who will be made homeless by disaster wherever and whenever that may be, I will be spending Big ShelterBox week camping outside my new home (and a couple of nights outside those of my family as my Nan would be very upset if I missed her 90th birthday and ditto my brother for his 40th!).
I very much hope that you will consider supporting my uncomfortable efforts for the week by making a small donation to help support ShelterBox and all they do to alleviate the suffering of those whose lives have been torn apart by disasters.
With all my thanks, Becky
