We help local people overcome hardships to play their part in the community.
Story
Andy Coombe and Mark Thompson are running for Bede House Association on 25th April 2010.
"It has been a life long ambition for me to run the marathon. As a teenager I trained for a marathon, only to have it cancelled at the last minute, so I'm very excited to finally be doing it! And it's good to be running for the Bede - it's a great charity at the heart of the community, doing award-winning work with local people. My friend Mark Thompson has run several marathons so will be supporting me in making the run a success." Andy Coombe
Bede House Association is a local charity, established since 1938 and based in Bermondsey, south east London. Bede House offers care and support to young people through its youth work, help and advice for victims of domestic violence and hate crime, support for local people and groups to get involved in improving their community and training and work opportunities for people who have learning disabilities. For more information, please visit http://www.bedehouse.org
"I know that Bede House is a small charity and so would benefit from the money I manage to fundraise through the sponsorship for the marathon. Therefore, any donation is welcome." Andy Coombe
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us as Bede House Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for giving generously and hopefully you will be able to come and support us on the day from the sidelines!
Lots of Love
Andy & Mark
At Bede, we support those who find it hardest to be part of the community.
We are a local, south London charity. Our projects aim to help people with a learning disability, young people and families on low incomes, and those affected by domestic abuse to overcome hardships and flourish.
