A Princess for a Day!

A Princess for a day! · 16 April 2016
All children deserve something truly special and magical and as childrens entertainers, spending our weekends bringing joy to so many little faces, it only seems right that we do something to raise money for those children who have endured what no child should. Endless nights away in hospital, painful treatment, not being able to enjoy the things every child should and this is only skimming the very surface of what such a horrible disease brings to a small, delicate person, a child who has to go through so much...it's heartbreaking as a mother to even begin to imagine and I know mothers that do and have and they are incredible. They absolutely must be!! (This includes you too Dad's!)
We were inspired by one very special little girl who has beaten it, beaten it hands down. Such an amazing little soul and we were touched to be there to entertain at her end of treatment party. Such an amazing day and seeing and reading what she had been through well, it's unthinkable but it's real. It happens and we need to do what we can to help.
This little girl in question well she LOVES Princesses and she's seen us as many! 4 of us attended her end of treatment party and what surprise it was! Knowing this little girl over the last few years, I have had the pleasure of bringing a smile to her face at many of my Princess events that she's attended and I decided that being a Princess for a whole day, was the way to go in trying to raise some money for an AMAZING charity that helps young people like this little one! In doing so we will take on daily tasks like any 'normal' day from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Doing house chores, shopping, taking the bus, taking the kids to the park, going to town to run those boring errands that need running, all of this (with some extra's) but in FULL princess costume! Now, you might think this is easy, it's what we do on a daily basis, but let me tell you...It's not comfortable, it's hot, the wigs are heavy and itchy, you cant sit properly or eat normally and all of this on top of a bery busy day, rain or hot sunshine?! Not our typical couple of hours at a party in character that's for sure. We normally can't wait to get out of costume into something comfy. Well, this isn't a scratch on what a child suffering from cancer has to go through...uncomfortable, painful, not being able to do the 'normal' things a child should be able to do, need I go on?! I've already said it...unimaginable.
We are kindly asking you to donate what you can to such an amazing charity who do so much for young people with Cancer. We will document our day from 7:00am - 7:00pm as Rapunzel and Cinderella (our most extravagant character costumes) on our Facebook page. We will let you know when and where we are if you would like to come and get some photos with your little ones with us!
It's going to be a long day for any Princess but it's worth it and we can't wait!!
Thank you so much for sponsoring!
