The Back-Up Trust - Dragon Boat Race 2010 · 2 September 2010 ·

Back Up services include mentoring, wheelchair skills training and activity courses as well as support in getting back to work or school after an injury. We provide peer led tailored support to help people adjust to a spinal cord injury and inspire independence and confidence for a positive future.

Story

We at Belderbos Landscapes are taking part in the Back-Up Trust dragon boat race on 2nd September 2010 at London Docklands.

The Back up Trust is a unique national charity that inspires people to transform their lives and challenge perceptions of disability. They deliver professional services including wheelchair skills training, mentoring and rehabilitative activity courses which grow confidence and independance by encouraging people affected by spinal cord injury to venture outside their comfort zone. They aim to show people that they can still realise their potential after a spinal cord injury and get the most out of life.

Your donations make a big difference to those who's lives have been effected by spinal cord injury. £25 will pay for someone to experience wheelchair skill lessons; £250 will pay for somebody to experience a water skiing taster day; £1500 - £2000 will pay for somebody with a spinal cord injury to go on a life changing Back-Up summer Course.

3 people suffer spinal cord injuries everyday. Please help us to reach our target.
