Robbie is the eldest grandson of a Belgravium Technologies employee. He suffers from Infantile Batten Disease, which is a progressive degenerative disease, terminal in most cases by the age of 10. Robbie has now reached that age and the fact that he has survived so long is a tribute to the splendid care he has had since diagnosis. Members of the Batten Disease Family Association have been most supportive throughout and the charity is actively financing research into the causes and potential treatment of this most horrible ailment. They are making progress, despite the fact that there is no state aid and the charity has been entirely run by the parents of afflicted children.
Belgravium Technologies Annual Golf Tournament is once again being held at the splendid Copt Heath facility in Solihull. The tournament will take place on Thursday 7th July 2011. Traditionally the tournament has been exclusively for players from within Belgravium client and partner organisations. We have decided that the 2011 event will be open to anyone working within the supply chain sector. Previous events have been over-subscribed and, thus, we accept entries on a strict 'first-come-first-served' basis. To secure your entry please donate a sum of £15 per player ( more if you wish ! ) to the Batten Disease Family Association, via this page. The green fees, lunch and dinner at Copt Heath have a nominal value of almost £100, so players are being asked for a modest contribution in turn for a superb day of golf and hospitality. All contributions will be most gratefully received and we can assure you, put to very good use.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please give all you feel you can and donate now. We look forward to greeting you on 7th July 2011.
Many thanks,
Mike Turner, Group Marketing Manager, Belgravium Technologies plc.
