I have the pleasure of running the Brighton Marathon on beahlf of a charity that means a great deal to me - The CATS Foundation.

The CATS Foundation was created by good friends of mine after their beautiful daughter was sadly diagnosed with this terrible illness.  The courage and commitment they have shown to create such an incredibly worth while cause has been an inspiration that is hard to describe.

It has inspired me to take part in the Brighton Marathon and try and put myself through an event that is worth while of raising funds to support my friend's efforts.  The challenge won't nearly be as difficult as those who have to live with Tay Sachs everyday but with your support we can hopefully make a difference and continue to inspire hope that one day a cure can be found.

I would love to tell you all that I have undergone an extensive, well planned training reigime but unfortunately, I can't.  I have tried to run whenever I can but consistent training hasn't been possible because the weather has meant that ice skates and skis were sometimes necessary.  I have managed to complete a half marathon but I fear this isn't enough and I am going to have to dig deep and find all the energy I can muster in order to finsih.  We all know it's gonna hurt!
