Project Peru is a small, lively, totally voluntary charity with minimal overheads offering food, clothes, shelter, education, health, and fun to the children from extreme poverty who live in their refuge in the desert shanty towns of Lima, and in the local community. www.projectperu.org.uk

Story

Hi Guys,  as I am sure most of you are aware I have been given a once in a life time opportunity to visit Peru for 5 weeks and along with 9 others, help build a centre for disabled children in Limas largest and poorest shanty town.

Whilst in Peru i will be staying in a children’s refuge in Zepallal, owned by the Project Peru Charity. When our time is not being spent on building the centre we will all be interacting and playing games etc with the children of the refuge, who's parents cannot afford to look after them themselves.

I have promised to raise £1000 for the Project Peru charity, but with your help I really think we could beat this total and would love to raise £1500!!! All the money raised will be used to buy building materials for the project and pay for two local builders to help us build the children’s centre. All extra money made will help keep the children’s refuge running and help keep these fantastic young kids off the streets of Zepallal!!

If this is not reason enough to contribute I will be taking part in the London Triathlon and trekking for 4 days at altitude to Machu Picchu via the Inca Trail!!

So please, really dig deep and contribute as much as you can for this amazing cause and charity!!
