Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year my youngest Daughter Katie became very ill. She was diagnosed with Renal failure. She must attend Hospital in London 4 days a week for hemodialysis treatment for 4 to 5 hours at a time plus travelling. This treatment is not a cure only a stepping stone to organ transplantation. The best possible chance of a successful transplant is from a close Relative living Donor. I have undergone preliminary tests and I am a potential Donor match. In order to progress the Hospital instructed that I must lose 4 stone in weight. I have already achieved 50% of this target weight to help me along the way I've decided to complete a really big physical challenge the coast to coast cycle route 147 miles of fairly mountain-as terrain.  http://www.c2c-guide.co.uk/aboutc2c.htm I hope by doing this I can also raise awareness of living organ donation and raise funds for the Evelina Family Trust http://www.ronaldmcdonaldhouse.org.uk/  They offer a home from home for Parents of very sick children who are far from home. Although supported by the Ronald McDonald House Charities, "Yes that's where your change go's from those collection boxes in McDonald's Restaurants" http://www.rmhc.org.uk/ more help is needed. I will be doing my challenge week commencing 26th April 2010. I am planning to do this over 4 or 5 days.
