18-May 2014. Yesterday I ran the Great Wall Marathon in 5h37m. I was the youngest runner to take part, and came 165th out of the 850 runners who finished this gruelling race.Thanks to your generosity I've already raised more than my initial target for Epilepsy Action. 

But today is the start of National Epilepsy Week and every £ is vital. Can you help me raise even more?

I am asking you to sponsor me  for Epilepsy Action because Epilepsy Action raises awareness of epilepsy and supports people who have it - people like my sister, Emma, who needs to have someone with her all the time because she cannot be safe on her own.

For the last months I have been learning traditional Chinese martial arts at the Qufu Shaolin Kung fu school. The training is quite intense. They work us hard for hours every day, and we often have to run 1000 stone steps up a nearby mountain. And another 1,000 down again.

Now I’m training to run the China Great Wall marathon. So that’s not 1,000 stone steps, but over 5,000. And a 26 mile marathon thrown in for good measure.

Sounds hard work? Every £pound I raise will have been earned in blood and sweat – and the more I raise, the better I will feel about running every mile. Once a week we practise running that 5,000 stone steps by running 5,000 up our mountain
