<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">In May 2011 I will be embarking on my greatest challenge yet – scaling and defeating the <strong>Great Wall of China </strong>– well walking an <strong>80 mile section in 8 days.</strong> With 30-40 degree heats, and uneven terrain this is set to be a gruelling challenge particularly when most of my sporting activity of late has been done via the PlayStation…</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">But to show my commitment I’m on a health kick, and have gone on <strong>3 runs in the last week!</strong> All with the aim of completing the China challenge. And I’m doing all this in order to raise money for Centrepoint.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><strong>Centrepoint is a fantastic charity</strong> that I have been supporting since I started earning a wage, their mission is to <strong>end youth homelessness </strong>in the UK and currently work with hundreds of young people in London and the North-East all who have no place to go. Many have been kicked out onto the streets leaving them few options and a bleak future. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">By reaching the £3,200 total we can do so much good, for example: </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">- <strong>£25 would provide meals, safe accommodation and support for a young person for one day; </strong></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">- £50 would provide hot meals for a week; </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">- £300 could go to keeping the emergency shelter for young people open for a night and; </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">- £1,500 could cover the costs of providing basic necessities like blankets, towels and toiletries for the emergency shelter.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Everything Centrepoint does is designed to <strong>get a homeless young person back on their feet,</strong> to give them back the opportunity they lost and ultimately to give them a life we would all want.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I would really appreciate your support not only for the China trek but for these young people too.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I intend for every penny raised will go to Centrepoint – I will cover the costs of flights and any logistics for the trip myself.</span></span></p>
