Story

What a day!

The weather was kind, with a few clouds to keep the heat down, but the wind did whip up a little on the bike course. The swim was predictably crazy like going on a spin cycle in a washing machine!

The crowd support around the Lancashire villages was amazing and up the hill to Belmont really gave an brilliant atmosphere.

Running into Bolton was seriously tough, but after running 6miles you could almost forget you'd done the other events. Knuckling down to a marathon is tough with or without the rest of the day! The atmosphere in Bolton town centre and seeing Ann, Sam and the girls on the steep hill each lap meant I could never let myself walk, and there was a lovely leg massage wating at the finish - just what you need!

Thanks again for all the support and very generous donations. If you've ever even half crazily thought of doing something like this, just do it- it's worth it at the finish!
