It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

In December 2017, Jane Burn, husband of Mark and mother to my close friend Chris, tragically lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. I am aiming to raise £500 by running both The Great North Run and The Cardiff Half Marathon for the Three Bear's Foundation in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK.

I first met Chris through school at the age of 10, and had since got to know Jane. I will always remember her as being very kind and thoughtful towards me and many other's, whether through playing sport with Chris, or any of the times I've been welcomed into the Burns' house.

The Three Bears Foundation was established by Chris following the sad news of Jane's passing. Chris and 8 other's from the team also have a final target of completing the TCS New York Marathon, and so I will be joining them and many others in the two half marathons as part of their build-up.

Your donation will help contribute to the funding of Pancreatic Cancer UK in finding ways to earlier diagnose the disease, giving people a chance to beat one of the UK's most silent killers.

Any donations are greatly appreciated and please use Gift Aid if possible,

Ben
