Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Having been diagnosed with a rare brain tumour in March 2008 and receiving radiotherapy & ongoing chemotherapy I decided that getting fit and raising money for Brain Tumour Research was the best way forward.

I'm hoping to raise at least £2740 for Brain Tumour Research which is enough to sponsor a day of research at a Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence.

Most well-known killer cancers recieve a lot of help, both financially and with publicity - luekaemia, prostate cancer, breast cancer, etc. Brain tumours kill MORE yet get overwhelmingly LESS.

Together we can help.

I will be joined on the climb by Dr David Williams, Dr Paul Daniel and Dr Tim Marshall, all from Shipston Medical Centre, Warks., who are supporting me and  raising money for the brilliant Shipston Home Nursing charity - at http://www.justgiving.com/climbing-for-compassion

Every penny counts and is massively appreciated so please dig deep.

Thank you. X
