Alright,

After a bout of insanity, I appear to have ended up running in the New York Marathon at the beginning of November. As you have probably guessed, I am not what you would call a "natural runner" -  so it is taking a fair bit of training, and will even involve an extended period of not drinking.

For a couple of reasons I will be running it for two charities in The British Heart Foundation and The Christie, a specialist cancer hospital here in Manchester.
