Story

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Reading half-marathon in April for two reasons. Firstly, to see if i can run 13 miles and secondly to raise some money for a good charity.

The charity i have chosen is the Children of Sri Lanka Trust. This charity helps to clothe and feed children in a country ravaged by natural disasters (the tsunami of 2004 was the first of many floods) and civil war. Some children are even part of the guerilla armies. This is a tiny charity who aim to donate every penny earned straight to the children. They don't waste money on slick adverts. The charity was set up in 2004 and raised just $400 that year. The donations have grown over the years and with your help, I can make 2012 the best yet.

We are lucky that the majority of us, as children, had (or have) access to a health system and a decent education. I want to at least give these beautiful children (and they are beautiful, i'm half sri-lankan and i'm sure my mother would agree that i'm at least half good-looking) a chance in life.

I hope to raise £500 and i ask for your help.

Thank you

Ben
