Thanks for taking a look at my page.

Some colleagues and I are travelling to Peru on the 4th June to assist UK based chairy Project Peru. Our aim is to build 14 homes for families in a shanty town called Las Laderas, close to Lima. We will be living in Las Laderas in a dorm provided by the charity and grafting our little socks off full time in order to get all the houses built in the 1 week time frame.

You can find out more about the trip here:

One of the main reasons I wanted to get involved in this project, is that it is comopletely self funded, and the money donated will be spent 100% on the project and therefore every penny donated will aid the local people. I'm sure like me you've watched Comic Relief or Secret Millionaire and though "I really would love to do something that directly helps people in need". I see this as my opportunity to do just that.

We have all paid for our own travel and accomodation for the trip, but need to raise a minimum of £1000 to cover the cost of the materials etc. Each house costs £465 to build and so my aim is to pay for and build 2 homes, each one housing a family of upto 8.

Over the next 10 weeks I'll be doing a number of 'Chairideee' events to raise some cash, and I'll keep you all updated, so if you could spare just a few pounds to help some of the poorset people, it would be grately appreciated. It doesnt have to be much, every little helps as Tesco like to say!

Thanks again, Ben
