Cure Crohn's Colitis has the sole objective of raising money to help fund medical research into curing Inflammatory Bowel Disease. 100% of money raised goes directly to the projects we support. Story

Hi all,

May 19th is World IBD day (Ulcerative Colitis & Crohn’s Disease). I’m going to be doing the #My125 challenge, to raise money for Cure Crohn’s Colitis, to help continue to fund IBD research.

I suffered with UC for many years, until I had surgery to remove my large bowel 8 years ago; I’m really fortunate that this gave me back my health. However, many people struggle with this debilitating condition on a daily basis, which affects around 1 in every 125 people in the UK.

My own #My125 is a weight training challenge, something I’ve found is a great way to get healthier and stronger, and a really good stress relief! My challenge is to do 125 reps of 5 different exercises (625 in total) over the course of the week beginning 17th May. This will be 125 barbell bench presses; 125 pull ups (this will be a toughy); 125 barbell curls; 125 barbell shrugs; and 125 barbell squats (another toughy).

Any amount you can spare for this cause would be hugely appreciated!

Many thanks!

Ben
