After being delayed for a little while I've finally got myself in gear (excuse the pun…) and on Monday 25th July 2011 will be undertaking a 5 day charity mountainbiking multi-day marathon. Between Monday 25th July 2011 to Friday 29th July I will be attempting to ride a total distance of approximately 600km (400miles) using Oxford as a central base. Each day will provide a separate mountainbiking route out and away from Oxford before eventually completing a loop and returning back for dinner & a much needed sleep in preparation for the next day's riding!

Now as much as you may know about my love of mountainbiking you'll almost certainly be asking the question, why? I have for the past few years donated to a charity called MAP (Medical Aid For Palestinians) and will be undertaking the ride to raise much needed funds for the organisation. The need for medical supplies to safely reach Palestinians is as important a

s ever, on 28th June, Gaza's medicine shortage had reached "alarming proportions," international aid group Oxfam said.
