Hello everyone!  For those of you who do not yet know, on June 28th I am going to be walking / jogging (maybe) 100km (62miles) within 24 hours along the Grand Union Canal for MacMillan Cancer Support.

So why am I walking and/or jogging 100km within 24 hours?  A little while after my mum was diagnosed with cancer, MacMillan Cancer Support provided my family with help in several aspects.  Unfortunately life has just been so busy that I have not had the time to sit and think what I can do to help raise some funds for this wonderful charity.

Recently a young man joined my team at work who was only a few years younger than myself.  His name was Tristan.  Within just over a month of him joining he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  Unfortunately he lost this battle and it really brought to light how fragile life is and how cancer does not discriminate age / sex / religion.  Although I don't believe MacMillan were involved in Tristan's battle, I feel that the more we can help charities such as MacMillan Cancer Support the more support those affected and their families will receive during those tough times!

I know times are hard and pennies are hard to come by.  However if you are able to spare a few coins for this wonderful charity we would all be very grateful!
