Story
Hi, I'm Ben, Ethics and Environment Officer at Royal Holloway Student Union
You may have heard of "Dry January" an alcohol-free month that students use to raise money for charity. Well with the Surf Club I am turning it up a notch:
I will be drinking just WATER for the whole duration of January. This means no alcohol, no tea, no coffee etc.
I am raising money for Surfers Against Sewage: an environmental charity protecting the UK's oceans, waves and beaches for all to enjoy. All well as working on the UK shoreline, this charity advances the education of the public in the conservation and protection of the marine environment.
Please look deep into your wallets and donate whatever you can, if you want more information about the charity itself before doing so just take a look through their website here: http://www.sas.org.uk/about/
On the 28th January 2016, the Surf Club will be hosting a Dry January celebration event in Royal Holloway Stumble Out, I would love to see you there, whether you are taking part or just supporting myself or the Surf Club! The sport club or society that has raised the most for Dry January at Royal Holloway will also be revealed on the night...
