I've been invited by some friends to join their team for Tough Mudder 2013. The event is a 20km assault course run that is done in teams, the aim is to complete the course, times do not matter.

Some of the obstacles around the course are pretty daunting - ice baths, monkey bars over mud pits and running through electrified wire to name just a few.

3 Years ago my Grandad died from cancer. His last days were quite painful and it was very distressing to see how fast he deteriorated. He was a very good man who always did his best to help out everyone around him and helped a lot to help me start my life in a successful way.

In his last days, he was cared for very well by MacMillan nurses, and the support they gave him and my grandmother was excellent. So I will proud to do this event trying to raise as much money as possible for their great charity.
