Across England and Wales, we're the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - the UK's largest animal welfare charity. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome many animals each year and campaign and educate to prevent animal cruelty. The RSPCA is registered with the Fundraising Regulator.

Story

Thank you so much for visiting my Just Giving Page.

In 2013 I will be on my way to Tanzania to climb the highest free standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the RSPCA.

Those who know me well, know how excitable I can be and this is no exception!! I am sooo excited! At the same time, I am terrified! It will be the hardest thing I have ever done and I have got some serious training to do to if I expect to even get half way up, never mind to the top, and then there is the dreaded altitude sickness to contend with!!!!

I need to keep in mind why I am doing this and that is to raise money for the RSPCA! The RSPCA is an incredible and unique charity and their work is simply essential. Like many of you, I have grown up with pets and I have loved each and every one of them. There are people out there however, who inflict unimaginable suffering to animals. Cases that I have heard about, especailly since I began working for the RSPCA are both horrifying and heartbeaking. The RSPCA works to prevent cruelty to animals. They rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving new homes for animals. They also go one step further and prosecute those responsible. This is just a fraction of what they do. Please have a look at the website to find out more. www.rspca.org.uk

I am hugely grateful for every single donation I receive, so if you are able to, please sponsor as little or as much as you like.

Thank you so much again!

Ben
