My Grandma has suffered with Alzheimer’s for the past 5 years and unfortunately passed away due to her condition in February this year. The Alzheimer’s society provided a lot of help and support to my family over this time, enabling us to care for my grandma from home which is where she would have wanted to be. I wanted to give something back to the charity for all their help and due to being a keen mountain biker, I felt this challenge had presented itself at the perfect time. I feel like this is my opportunity to help others get the help and support the we have had over the past 5 years and also pay my last respects to my Gran :)
