Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year my Dad lost his fight with cancer and the treatment he received at the Pembroke Ward in Salisbury Hospital, from diagnosis to the end, was absolutely fantastic.  The staff are excellent and it's really humbling to see even a little of what they must have to deal with every day.

Add to this the facts that I'm 40 this year, and therefore desperate to prove my youthful vigour remains (did I ever have it?), and that the vagaries of the corporate world have fortuitously given me time to do something useful.

The result is that I'm planning to cycle 1,000 miles over twenty consecutive days between 24th May and 12th June, travelling around England.  So it will just be me (unless anybody wants to join for some part of the trip - see below and give me a call if you fancy it), an average bike, a small bag, ill-fitting lycra and a minimum of 40 miles a day.  Anything I make by doing this will go to the Stars Appeal, Salisbury Hospital's charity.
