My story
Dear all,
I know many people whose lives have been touched by cancer. Chances are, we all know someone who has been affected by it. I am participating in a fundraising walk for Pro-Cancer Research Fund's 'Orchid Walk 2012'. The Orchid Walk started in 2003 by a group of people who were all affected by cancer and had passion for making a difference to those others who had similar experiences.
Every year, the funds raised help to support work done by this charity such as outreach work for cancer patients, counselling for patients, arranging awareness events, free complementary therapies for patients and their families and drop in sessions at their Care Centre. You will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer and in the lives of the people who love them, your support will help ensure that the Pro-Cancer-Research Fund will continue to be able to provide the good work for this registered charity.
The walk is on Sunday 12th February 2012.It is a ten-mile walk and I have been training to prepare for the event. I am aiming to raise a minimum of £1,000 for this charity.

If you are affected by Cancer and want to learn more about prognosis of treatments, emotional, psychological, practical and financial support, we are here to help. Our centre is open to anyone on Monday to Friday 10.00am – 3.30pm, where you can find out more about our services.
