Story

Tom, Chris, Rachel and Una were killed in an Avalanche in Glencoe last January. We loved them very dearly.

At the time, Tom was part way through his phD. His research still promises to help those suffering from osteoporosis. We're trying to raise a bit of money for the Osteoporosis Society, who funded Tom's research, so that they can carry on this good work.

The Grizzly was Tom's favourite running race, mostly because it is horrible. Twenty miles over beach, bog and cliff top with rain, wind and cold virtually guaranteed. Indeed it's the kind of event that was right up the street of all the victims of the avalanche. That's why Ben (Tom's big brother) and I thought it such a good way to remember them.

We can say without a doubt that all of them would have laughed quite a lot at the suffering we have stepped up for.

If you'd like to make a wee donation to help the Osteoporosis Society then rest assured that you'll also be helping two grown men experience inordinate amounts of pain and chafing. We promise to keep smiling throughout.

What better way to remember them by?

Fast and light...
