Story

Bens Story

I was on a routine foot patrol in Afganistan in 2007 with C Coy 40 Commando Royal Marines, where I was giving Cover with colleagues when suddenly we got Ambushed and under Heavy fire two of my Colleagues and myself all got shot, On jumping into cover off the roof I sustained a open disloaction to my ankle.

Since that fatal day I have had no end of support from the Royal Marines and Charitys such as Help For Heroes and I would Love to give something back.

My injury is a mear scratch to some of the Brave that return to this Country after being injured and only when you see it first hand you realise how much The charity does.

My Challenge

As you may know in 2010 I climbed Everest BC which has made me hungry for more, so on the 18th Oct a small team and Myself will be climbing the highest freestanding mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro is also the highest mountain on the African continent at 5896m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
