Story

who is up for it???

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Ben Baldwin and Paul Gurney will be walking the grand union canal (Birmingham to London 145 miles) in fancy dress!!! the challenge will take 5 days to complete, walking over 1 marathon per day and sleeping in a tent at night. The challenge will start in 'gas st basin Birmingham' on the 12th of september and finish in 'little venice paddington london' on the 16th, all to raise money for the HOSPICE OF ST FRANCIS.

THE BARMY ARMY  VS  GRIMSBY ATHLETIC!!!!!!

In addition to this, we have also organised a fancy dress football match!! this event will take place on the 31st august at HEMEL HEMPSTEAD F.C. Ben will be managing THE BARMY ARMY and Paul, GRIMSBY ATHLETIC. players such as; superman, batman, spiderman, bananaman, teenwolf, fred flintstone, captain america, stormtroopers, duffman and Eboue from arsenal will be on show to entertain the crowd and help raise some good money for this fantastic charity.

The hospice of st francis is only 20% NHS funded so they rely on fundraising and donations for their income, Pauls mum Gillian was a patient at the hospice up until this year when she sadly lost her battle. So come on guys!!  lets be a part of something really special and help to raise money for THE HOSPICE OF ST FRANCIS!!  Even if its just £1, It will make all the difference xxx Thank you all so much xxx

A message from Paul............

Thank you everyone so much for your kind donations. Ben and I are preparing for the football match on 31st Aug and our mammoth walk in September. Looking forward to another cracking and funny football match!

For anyone who has had to use The Hospice of St Francis will know what a magnificent service they provide for those who really need the greatest of care.

Thank you once again for your support and donatios that really do make a massive difference.

For those of you who knew my Mum (and that's most of you!) will know that she would be immensely proud and grateful for everyone's support of the Hospice.

I look forward to seeing all my old friends soon and make sure to cheer us on as we hobble through Hemel on the Canal walk!

Love Paul & Family
