Virgin London Marathon 25th April 2010

My loving Grandmother, Margaret Crossman suffered for over ten years with the harrowing symptoms of what we eventually discovered, through the tremendous help and efforts of the society to be Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
(PSP), before her life was cruelly and prematurely taken.

Throughout the disease I felt helpless, and by running the Virgin London Marathon in memory of my Grandmother I would like to make a difference to current sufferers and future research.

PSP robs people of their ability to walk, talk, eat, drink and see. Patients become trapped in their own bodies unable to communicate, whilst remaining mentally alert. PSP is often misdiagnosed as Parkinson's, Stroke, Alzhiemer's, Motor Neurone Disease and Depression.

The causes of PSP are unknown and currently there is NO treatment and NO cure.

By generating awareness and fundraising I hope to contribute to future treatments and cures: 'Working for a world free of PSP'.

Donating through 'JustGiving' is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe  – they’ll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure 'Gift Aid' is reclaimed on all eligible donations by a UK taxpayer.

Please make a contribution to the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Society (PSP), an incredible Charity.
