Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

I am part of a 10 man team that is aiming to run 5,000 miles and to raise £5,000 over the course of 2014 for a number of charities.

Please check out our website on http://www.5000milerun.co.uk for the latest news on how myself, and all the lads are doing.

I have previously participated in only a handful of races, and am by any objective standards, unfit and overweight. 500 miles in one year is therefore a daunting prospect!

I am running in support of Anthony Nolan, who do fantastic work supporting those with blood cancer, and who need bone marrow transplants. Directly and indirectly I know of many who have been effected by these kinds of conditions, and so am committed to raising money for charities that work in this area.

Just click on the donate button if you have a spare couple of quid in your bank account - all for an extremely worthy cause. If you want to check on my progress - just visit the 5000 mile run site mentioned above and click 'Ben Harrison'.

Thanks for your support!

Ben
