Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Berkshire Child Anxiety Clinic is a specialist research and therapy clinic dedicated to helping children aged 7 - 12 and their families with anxiety-related difficulties. We are based at the University of Reading and work across Berkshire. We are very proud of what we can offer families at the clinic and want to make our clinic as child-friendly as possible.

We would love to be able to purchase more games for the kids to use in therapy and in the waiting room, as well as posters to make the clinic a friendly, happier place to be.

More than half of the Berkshire Child Anxiety Clinic team have committed to running the Reading Half-Marathon in an effort to raise some funds to make the clinic more child-friendly. The runners include our Clinic Director, Research Director, Trial Manager, Administrator, and many of our Psychologists, Research Assistants, and Honorary Members.

If you would like to support our clinic, or one of our runners, please donate.

We are delighted to be working with the University of Reading Annual Fund, which aims to enhance the student experience through a range of projects, as well as providing important financial support for students. It is through the University of Reading Annual Fund, via JustGiving, that your donation will reach the clinic.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

About the charity

The Annual Fund supports current students during their time at the University of Reading. It offers financial support to students who would otherwise struggle with the costs of higher education, and funds a wide range of teaching and learning projects and extra-curricular activities.
