The Great Edinburgh run in Oct, will mark the 1 year anniversary of my heart attack caused by a rare cardiac condition, Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD). I am one of the lucky ones to have survived, but have been left with irreversible heart damage. Simon and I will be walking to celebrate my 'SCADiversary' and raise money for the Mending Broken Hearts appeal. 

We're also donating to SCAD Research - a ground-breaking study I am participating in, run by a leading US heart centre.
