Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have always wanted to do a skydive but have never had the courage to do it. So I decided to do it for a charity as it will give me more incentive to actually do it.
I was planning on doing the skydive for a full self harm and suicide support charity but having problems with criticism changed my mind as people didn't understand my reasons therefore wouldn't sponsor me. In the end I decided that ChildLine was the next best thing as it is an all round charity that helps with a lot of childrens problems, not only self harm but abuse and safety, school and college, sex and relationships, bullying...Etc.
Having a difficult few years of my own childhood I understand how hard it is to talk to someone from your family in bad situations. Talking to someone outside the family that is there to listen, give advice and understand is a great help and gives a sense of relief to children, knowing they are not alone.
Doing this skydive, for me, will be turning over a new leaf. Moving on from the past and feeling happy and confident that I have done something amazing, not only for myself, but for others around me that are suffering now.
The skydive represents a problem. Being scared and nervous getting to the top. Then the jump, feeling the relief when flying and feeling happy when I'm back on the ground. Things do get better no matter how bad they seem.
I am looking to do the skydive in July, the month of my 16th birthday. I need to raise £430 by then.
Thankyou for taking the time to read this. Please donate. It will mean a lot. x
