<p><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; color: #000000;">I am going to be part of a team of 30+ medics going to the Thai / Burma in October 2011 to help train 50 'medics'. 25 will be new recruits for Level 1 training and 25 have been selected from the 2010 class who will do Level 2 training. I am going to be one of 8 nurses involved in the training. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; color: #000000;">Students will go on to treat 1000s of Karen ‘Internally Displaced People’ (IDPs) inside Burma. </span><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse;"><span style="color: #000000;">The Military Junta does not provide medical care (or education) for minority tribes who do not "tow the party line". Rather the opposite they suffer ethnic cleansing, forced labour and have their villages destroyed. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">We are taking annual leave and paying our own expenses but the 2 training courses cost around £15,000.</span></p>
