Glastonbury Festival Pyramid Abseil · 20 September 2014 to 21 September 2014 ·

SOS Africa invests 100% of all donations in the education & care of disadvantaged South African children with regular feedback to sponsors. Since 2003 the grassroots charity has provided children from the ages of 5-18 with education, care and learning support programmes tailored to their needs.

Story

As a regular on the Glastonbury Recycling team I spotted this worthwhile charity's fund raising event and couldn't resist signing up.

Who couldn't resist climbing the iconic Pyramid structure to free fall abseil down?

The lure of such an unusual activity, the needs of some of the poorest children in Africa, and the chance to actually be on the Pyramid  stage made me feel I had to grab this opportunity. Mark decided to join me on this event seeing as he missed the original Metallica Glastonbury performance!

If you feel able to spare a few bob, doesn't matter how big or small, it will make a big difference to children's lives in Africa and every penny is used for the children SOSAfrica are supporting.
