Bevis and I have decided to test our metal by wearing lycra for three weeks and cycling 1,800km across Argentina.  We start August 29th in Buenos Aires and follow the Rio Parana to Rosario, where we will then turn inland and head through the heart of the country to San Juan.  From here we will begin a week-long traverse of the Andes before descending into Santiago Chile.

I'm sure you'll agree that this is an ideal opportunity to raise as much money and awareness as possible for those more in need than ourselves and as such we have decided to dedicate our expedition to the Kenyan Orphan Project (KOP).

The project was created by our colleague Adam Alvarez's school friend in 2001 and over the past eight years he and other medical students have done an amazing job of helping support vulnerable kids in Kenya who have lost parents and giving them a fighting chance to succeed in this world.

For more information you can visit their website at http://kopafrica.org/Index.htm

We greatly appreciate any support you can give for this worthy cause.
