Story
I am running the London Marathon in April 2013 to raise money for the British Heart Foundation because of the fabulous work they do. Seven years ago my lovely dad needed a triple bypass and is lucky to be alive, and it's all thanks to the wonderful work of Aberystwyth cardiologist Donogh McKeogh and his team.
Our local BHF branch in Aberystwyth is one of the best-performing branches in Britain. They raise thousands to support a Ceredigion Heart Nurse and pay for vital equipment at Bronglais Hospital. I wanted to do something to say thank you, so I am running the London Marathon.
I have donned my running shoes and am in training. You will find me puffing and panting along Aberystwyth promenade most days, as I try to build up my fitness.
But as well as completing the marathon, I have pledged to raise at least £2,000 for the BHF. So please dig deep and donate now. Any donation, no matter how small, will help me reach my target.
Every extra pound donated through this page will spur me on with my training. I'll keep you updated on my training progress...
