Beverley's running the London Marathon

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
I've always admired marathon runners, but the sheer distance felt so out of reach for a 10k weekend runner like me, I never seriously considered entering.
The last year has been really tough for me following the loss of my father to covid and running has helped me cope. So when I was offered the chance to run the marathon for Just a Drop, it felt like fate. It has given me something positive to focus on, and a chance to raise money for an incredible charity.
Just a Drop brings sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects to communities around the world. Safe water changes everything. It improves health, education, women’s rights, leads to secure food sources, economic growth and brighter futures. It completely transforms lives, especially those of women and children.
