My story
Autism Concern is a charity which provides support and options to people affected by all forms of autism in gaining independence and control of their lives.
Autism is a life-long developmental disability that affects social and communication skills.
How can we help people with Autism?
Specialist education and structured support can really make a difference to an individual with autism. Total understanding of the condition by all those involved in their care is paramount in helping them to develop their social and communication skills and ultimately achieve a better quality of life.
What is the Challenge?
C 2 C - Coast to Coast
Cycle Challenge
12 men – 3 days — 140 miles
Day One—Whitehaven to Greystoke/Penrith
Approx. distance 50 miles - one big climb at Whinlatter rest of route reasonably undulating
Day Two—Greystoke/Penrith to Allenheads/Rookhope
Approx. distance 40 miles- climbs up Hartside, out of Garrigill and Black Hill. A tough day over very hilly terrain
Day Three—Allenheads/Rookhope to Sunderland
Approx. distance 45 miles - climb out of Allenheads and then Rookhope Incline (or Crawleyside if going via Stanhope) then its level or downhill all the way to the finish
