Thank you to Blue Square Data Group in Maidenhead for their donation of £1000

 

 On 9th February 2010, I will attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Mouth Cancer Foundation, along with my daughter Stephanie (www.justgiving.com/stephanie-hakesley). It is a very tough and daunting challenge but we are determined to succeed. This is one of our two chosen charities, the other being Alexander Devine Children's Cancer Trust. I aim to raise £3500 for The Mouth Cancer Foundation in loving memory of Gareth Long my brother in law who died last year at the age of 47, who enjoyed mountain walking with his family, so this seems a fitting tribute.

 

1 person dies every 3 hours from mouth cancers, and mouth cancers have a higher proportion of deaths per number of cases than breast cancer, cervical cancer or skin melanoma.
