Story

In celebration of my 50th year I have created a wish-list of things that I would like to achieve during this year, and on my wish-list was the London Marathon!

I have always wanted to run in the London Marathon and being 50 this year was the obvious year to achieve this. So, I entered the Virgin London Marathon and was delighted to have been chosen to run for a charity called St. Mungo's.

St.Mungo's is an organistion that has cared for some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in London for the last 40 years, and more recently in the South of England. St.Mungo's helps homeless people to overcome barriers to employment through education, vocational training, help with finding a job and engaging in meaningful activities. Please visit their website for further information about their current projects at www.mungos.org

I started my training in November and I have to admit it has been much harder than  I expected. However, I am determined to cross the finishing line and raise my pledged target of £2500.

I would be most grateful if you would consider sponsoring my run in the Virgin London Marathon for St.Mungo's.
